Each state that fought in the Battle of Gettysburg sent a memorial statue. The Pennsylvania state monument at Gettysburg is the largest and most magnificent of all the monuments. The sun sets through the magnificent Pennsylvania memorial The women who fought and suffered were honored too. Lincoln made his most famous speech here. The whole huge monument is covered with the names of the dead. All four walls were like this. Name after name after name of the dead. The sunset view from inside the Pennsylvania monument Moments of individual bravery were marked. There were cannons like these everywhere. John Fulton-Reynolds was a significant leader of the northern army and was killed at the beginning of the Battle at Gettysburg. Reynolds got two statues—the second is part of the Pennsylvania state memorial. Lincoln and Julie seem to be getting along very well, while Elise, her sister Rita, and her parents look on. We think that other guy might be Tony Bennett but we don’t know why.
